In recent years, ski resorts have set the tone for improving the carbon footprint of ski vacations by implementing measures such as investing in biomass heating plants, installing green roofs, improving waste management, and offering lift pass\/public transport packages. On the leisure activity side, service providers are also considering their carbon impact. This is the case for \"Les Volatiles\" at Les Saisies resort, which offers snowmobile tours.<\/p>\n

To fuel its machines, the operator previously had gasoline delivered several times a week from gas stations located more than 30 km away. Their need was to store <\/strong>their annual consumption of Unleaded 95<\/strong> on-site to refuel their snowmobiles, reduce fuel transport, and save on bulk fuel purchase costs.<\/p>\n

Les Volatiles<\/strong> chose an above-ground fuel storage and distribution solution<\/strong> to enable fully autonomous refueling<\/strong>. The client opted for the ECOTANK 12000L container<\/strong> model for Unleaded 95 due to its 100% transportable design<\/strong>, allowing the tank to be relocated<\/strong> to another site in the future if necessary.<\/p>\n

Developed by Blocalps to meet mountain-specific constraints, the ECOTANK service station features a double-walled tank with an internal coating that ensures excellent fuel preservation.<\/p>\n

\"Station<\/p>\n

An electronic gauge is installed on the tank, enabling fuel level monitoring via a mobile application for remote operation. The container <\/strong>version provides the fuel station<\/strong> with secure closure.<\/p>\n

A ventilation grille has been integrated to comply with the station's ATEX environment, and a maintenance hatch has been added for servicing.<\/p>\n

With its white color, the containerized ECOTANK service station<\/strong> blends seamlessly into its surroundings.<\/p>\n

Thanks to its above-ground configuration, the ECOTANK service station<\/strong> by Blocalps, designed for above-ground fuel storage and distribution, eliminates the need for underground civil engineering works. This non-buried solution offers significant cost savings in favor of above-ground fuel storage. The client appreciated the resale and buy-back options for a storage and distribution station adaptable to new needs.<\/p>\n

The installation of the ECOTANK took place in January under challenging winter conditions, with frozen ground and snow at 1650 meters altitude. Despite the complexities, the process was completed successfully under bright sunshine and in a stunning landscape.<\/p>\n
