JUPITER AERO, a Bordeaux-based company specializing in helicopter rentals and discovery flights, has just constructed a building to house its three aircraft. Quickly becoming a priority at this private heliport was the need for autonomous fuel refueling. Blocalps' containerized refueling station was chosen for its compact footprint, easy installation, and lack of civil engineering requirements.
Given the JET A1 consumption and the specific requirements related to aviation fuel storage, the Minibox 5000L model proved to be the most suitable.
This mobile service station effectively houses all the equipment necessary for the storage and distribution of aviation fuel, fully compliant with JIG safety standards. It features a coated tank designed with a 2% slope to create a low point, connected to a drainage system with a settling pot. The fuel tank is equipped with a floating suction system, allowing fuel to be drawn from the surface to avoid water and potential impurities.
Additionally, the mobile refueling station is fitted with a water and particle filtration system to ensure the purity of the fuel, along with a motorized refueling unit equipped with a 30-meter aviation hose, specifically designed to meet aviation standards.
In terms of safety, a manual rolling shutter secures the distribution cabin of this fuel service station. Additionally, it features a galvanized steel slat curtain and is secured with a key-lock system.
For maintenance, this containerized service station is equipped with a double lockable manhole hatch with anti-burglary protection, providing access to both the suction and filling equipment and the tank without the need to dismantle the piping.
Custom-designed and manufactured in our workshop, the refueling station has been personalized to match the color of the hangar for seamless integration into the site, featuring "burgundy" cladding and an "anthracite gray" rolling shutter.
Scalable, this refueling station can be upgraded in the future to include a private/public management system (MID) with the option for credit card payment. Its durability is ensured by a cladding made of insulated panels guaranteed for 10 years against corrosion. Additionally, the transportable container can be resold at the end of its operation, unlike a buried tank, which incurs neutralization and potential soil decontamination costs.
