In recent years, Blocalps has integrated a comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach into its corporate strategy, aiming to generate a positive impact on society.
Before formalizing our CSR commitment in 2023, we had already initiated actions focused on social and environmental issues, such as:
- Mobility Day to raise awareness of sustainable commuting options for home-to-work journeys.
- Neighborhood gatherings to improve cohesion among businesses in the area, in collaboration with Mobilités GRAND LAC to enhance transportation options.
- Energy diagnostics, including automatic lighting, heating, and insulation improvements.
- Waste sorting initiatives.
Guided by the pragmatic approach of the UIMM, we were supported in evaluating our CSR practices, showcasing our existing initiatives, and identifying concrete actions to implement over time, such as:
- 70% of our suppliers are located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
- We work with local subcontracting partners.
- Some of our support functions are handled by shared employees via the EDS employer group.
- We participate in the UIMM Entrelacs Job Dating event.
- We are members of Réseau Entreprendre, Tenerdis, and ANGNV.
- We have greened our operations by offering BIOGNV storage and distribution solutions to our clients.
- Quality management processes in line with ISO 9001 standards.
- Process mapping covering management, production, and support, each with performance indicators.
- Job creation and sustainability, with 3 apprentices for 2023-2024 and 3 interns per year in engineering and quality roles.
- Quarterly integration follow-ups for new employees during their first year.
- Annual salary adjustments based on the cost of living.
- Annual individual reviews and professional assessments every two years.
Following this audit, Blocalps obtained CSR certification under the FD E-01-100 normative framework, which is compatible with ISO 26000. This certification confirms the company’s commitment to CSR based on five key criteria: governance and strategy, human resources, product/market development, production and environmental impact, and the company's ecosystem.
CSR project management is handled internally by a group of volunteer employees responsible for developing and implementing a dedicated action plan with monitoring indicators. We have decided to maintain this CSR momentum and implement the following actions:
- Create an anomaly report system.
- Conduct internal and customer satisfaction surveys.
- Strengthen relationships with stakeholders.
- Develop student and professional training programs.
- Maintain a zero-accident rate.
- Implement a disability inclusion agreement.
- Launch a cigarette butt recycling initiative to create insulation materials.
The CSR commitment charter was officially presented to the company in December 2023.
